For the truly technical among you the ‘000’ sports a 14 fret neck with the ‘00’ and parlour having 12 fret necks. All three feature a 45mm nut as standard and have a compound radius fretboard running smoothly from a 300mm radius at the nut to a 500mm radius at the sound hole.

This serves to increase the fluidity and ease of playing

The asymmetric bridge is not just distinctive and stylish; it actually increases the power of mid-range frequencies in all three instruments

Steve’s instruments are known for their full, vibrant sound, whether played gently or with gusto. This is achieved by tuning each body to get the best possible sound from each particular combination of tonewoods

Once the braces are glued in place each one is shaped and tuned to achieve the optimum flexibility and tone

This is the starting point of a process of construction that culminates in a balanced sound

Once the body is together............ more tuning takes place by thinning the soundboard around the perimeter, ‘loosening’ the top and developing the balanced tone and sound even further
